The family moved to a farm east of Norfolk where Lucy started school. When 12 years old the family moved to a farm west of Springview. Read More	SPRINGVIEW HERALD September 11, 1980 Springview, Keya Paha County, NE LUCY FEGLEY Lucy Pearl was the second child born to Carrie and Arthur Childs, Jan 23, 1895, at Tilden, Ne. and died Sept. 4 at Ainsworth at the age of 85. The family moved to a farm east of Norfolk where Lucy started school. When 12 years old the family moved to a farm west of Springview. Lucy completed her education in Keya Paha County and taught two years in a rural school before her marriage on Dec. 10, 1913, to Lynn G. Fegley at Springview. To them five children were born. The couple celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary last year. The couple lived on a farm in the Norden area before moving to Springview. In 1931, they moved to a farm south of Ainsworth and lived there until 1947 when they moved to a smaller place close to Ainsworth. Retiring from the farm in 1961, they moved to their present home in Ainsworth. She has made her home at the Bethesda Care Center in Ainsworth for the past year due to a broken hip and knee surgery causing her to be unable to walk. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lynn, June 23, 1980; three brothers, George, John, and Ivan Childs; son-in-law Kenneth Pratt and grand-daughter Alene Platt. Among survivors are her five children, Mrs. Lois Pratt, Los Gatos, Ca.; Kenneth, Ainsworth; Ronald, Cape Canaveral, Fla., Mrs. Dean (Donnabelle) Woods, Colton, Ore., and Bill, Bassett; one sister, Mrs. Glen (Rose) Masters: ten grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Services were held Sept. 8 at the United Methodist Church in ainsworth, of which she was a member, with the REV. Armold officiating. Music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Fling. Pallbearers were George Brede, Elbert Mundhenke, Gerald Swim, Harold Jorgensen, Merle Jones, and Dale Schmeichel. Interment was in the Ainsworth Cemetery.
