Son of Ephraim Diamond and Julia Winkler OBITUARY THE CHARITON LEADER Chariton, Iowa Tuesday, November 7, 1967 DIAMOND - Ludwig Diamond of South Bend, Ind., passed away at Healthwin Hospital in that city at the age of 67 after an illness of seven years. He was born September 2, 1900 to Ephraim and Julia Winkler Diamond at Munich, Germany, the youngest of seven children. When he was three the family moved to Berlin, where he lived until coming to the United States at the age of 26. He served in the Signal Corps of the German Army in World War I and also served in the American Army in World War II. He was a furrier and pursued this occupation until forced to retire due to ill health. On October 21, 1950, he was married to Anna Adelia Primm, formerly of Lucas County, Iowa, at Chicago, Ill. He is survived by his wife and one sister, Selma Diamond of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. Mr. Diamond was a devoted husband and a loyal friend, a man with the courage of his convictions. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 31, 1967 at the Miley-Brueggemann Funeral Home, the Rev. Paul C. Ellis officiating. Burial was in the Norwood cemetery. near Lucas.
