She was stricken with a severe coughing spell with sewing, which resulted in a hemorrhage which brought on her death. She had been a sufferer with liver trouble for some time. She was stricken with a severe coughing spell with sewing, which resulted in a hemorrhage which brought on her death. She had been a sufferer with liver trouble for some time. Lueamy McWilliams was born at Vianna, Kansas, May 31, 1871 and died at her home in Creighton, Nebraska February 20, 1933, aged 61 years, 8 months and 19 days. She came with her parents to Knox county and settled on a homestead near Knoxville when only five years of age in 1876 and has spent nearly all of her life in this county, being identified as one of the old settlers in this part of Nebraska. She was united in marriage to A.O. Scott at Bazile Mills, Oct. 26, 1890 and for forty three years they have made their home in Creighton. Their union was blessed with five children; four sons and one daughter, four of who still survive, one son, Marion, having passed away some years ago. Those who still survive are; Osborn of Randolph; Royal of Creighton; Walter of Fort Snelling, Minn. and the daughter, Mrs. G.E. Sharp of Albion, Nebraska. Besides her husband and children she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lyle Tabb of Colorado and an uncle, W.A. Strain of Lincoln, Nebr. Nine grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Scott was a kind and neighborly woman and was highly esteemed by her many friends who bear testimony to her loyalty and devotion to all the interests of the community, where she has lived so long. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and was an attendant at the services of the Methodist church whenever her health permitted. For the last few years she has been a constant sufferer, but has borne her illness with great fortitude and faith in her God. The whole community will join with the bereaved family in sorrow because of her death. Funeral services will be held this Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from the Methodist church, in charge of the pastor, Rev. R.B.E. Hill. The remains will be interred in Greenwood cemetery.
