Description	:	Luella Elizabeth Burger, the daughter of Fred and Anna Huneke Titkemeier, was born on a farm near Clatonia on January 17, 1907 and died at the Wilber Nursing Home on February 20, 1986 at the age of 79. She grew up on the farm and attended rural school near her home. On February 20, 1927 she married Edward L. Burger at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Clatonia. She is survived by her husband, Edward of Clatonia; daughter, Mrs. Robert (Bernice) Gerlach of Hallam; brother, Ervin Titkemeier of Clatonia; grandchildren, Douglas Gerlach, Mark Gerlach, Rick Gerlach, Mrs. Julie (Gerlach) Herbig and Russell Gerlach; and great-grandchildren, Travis Gerlach, Terry Gerlach, Bryce Gerlach, and Cody Gerlach. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gerald Titkemeier. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Clatonia and the Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid. Funeral services were February 22 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clatonia with Pastor Norris Bauman officiating. Music was by the church choir with Mrs. Rob Sebek as organist. Pallbearers were Robert Oltman, Harlan Burger, Vernon Huneke, Lanny Mogenson, Raymond Burger, and William Burger. Burial was in the church cemetery. Source: The Crete News, February 26, 1986
