Description	:	Luella (Van Fossen) Henderson, 93, of Cambridge, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday (November 18, 2021) at Cardinal Place, Cambridge. She was born June 26, 1928 in Flushing, daughter of the late Fred Van Fossen and Fern (Warrick) Van Fossen. A 1956 graduate of Muskingum University and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, Mrs. Henderson retired from East Guernsey Local School District, where she had been the Home Economics teacher at Buckeye Trail for over thirty years. Read More	Luella (Van Fossen) Henderson, 93, of Cambridge, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday (November 18, 2021) at Cardinal Place, Cambridge. She was born June 26, 1928 in Flushing, daughter of the late Fred Van Fossen and Fern (Warrick) Van Fossen. A 1956 graduate of Muskingum University and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, Mrs. Henderson retired from East Guernsey Local School District, where she had been the Home Economics teacher at Buckeye Trail for over thirty years. She took her job as an educator very seriously and considered her female students to all be "her girls". Along with her husband, she was also a farmer. She was a member of the Middlebourne United Methodist Church and the UMC Women. She loved teaching Sunday School. Her faith in God was steadfast throughout her life. She enjoyed crafting, homemaking, and traveling. She loved music, and above all else, enjoyed being a pianist at her church. She considered her grandchildren to be her pride and joy. She cherished the time she spent with them. She had a great love for animals, and Obi was her very best buddy up until the end. He brought her love and laughter as he'd lay by her feet. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard F. Henderson, who died February 24, 2015. They were married December 26, 1957. She is survived by her daughter of Pittsburgh PA; two grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Obi. Visitation will be held Wednesday (November 24, 2021) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Karen Rawlins officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City
