He had been in failing health for the past five years and seriously ill the last two months. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Wednesday, where the rosary will be recited at 8 and 9 p.m. Wednesday, and at 3, 8 and 9 p.m. Thursday. Olivet Cemetery. Mr. Hiebeler was born July 7, 1882, at Blue Earth, Neb., a son of John and Mary Hiebeler. When he was a small child he moved to Kansas with his parents; and as a young man he came to Carroll County, settling in the vicinity of Halbur. He worked on a farm here for a time, then coming to Carroll, where he was employed by the Adams Grocery. After that he was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company until his retirement in 1956. His marriage to Susannah Snyder took place at the St. Peter and Pauls church in 1914 with the late Rev. Joseph Kuemper. Mr and Mrs Hiebeler made their home in Carroll after their marriage. The family home is at 209 North Crawford Street. Mrs. Hiebeler died in January, 1955. Mr. Hiebeler is survived by two daughters, Marie and Dolores Hiebeler at home; two sons, Charles Hiebeler, St. Paul, Minn., and Leo Hiebeler, Owatonna, Minn.; nine grandchildren; one brother, John Hiebeler, Salisaw, Okla.; and one sister, Mrs. Charles Marak, Hanford, Calif. Preceding him in death in addition to his wife were his parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
