Description	:	Highland Recorder August 30, 1956 Mrs. Lula B. Jenkins died Friday, Aug. 24 in the University Hospital at Charlottesville, where she had been a patient previously for several weeks. She had been in declining health for about a year and had become seriously ill the past few days. Mrs. Jenkins was born Oct. 21, 1881 near Doe Hill and was a lifelong resident of that community. Mrs. Jenkins was the daughter of the late Henry S. and Alice Hiner Armstrong. She is survived by five children, Edward Lee at home, Mrs. Elizabeth Simmons of Doe Hill; Russell J. of Staunton; Sanger of Madison and Mrs. Ethel Propst of Swoope; a brother, Hiner Armstrong; a sister. Miss Mary Armstrong of McDowell, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the McKendree Methodist Church.
