Description	:	The Plains -- Lula Mae Hambel, 74, of The Plains, died this morning at her home. Born in Waterloo Twp., she was the daughter of the late John W. and Stella Hudnell McNutt. Mrs. Hambel was a life-long resident of Athens County area. She attended Redtown Free Methodist Church and was a member of Three Star Senior Citizens Club of Glouster. She is survived by a daughter, Living of Glouster; three sons, William L. and Living of Glouster, and Living of Shade; 23 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Roy (Edna) Taylor of Jackson, Naomi Brooks of... Read More	The Plains -- Lula Mae Hambel, 74, of The Plains, died this morning at her home. Born in Waterloo Twp., she was the daughter of the late John W. and Stella Hudnell McNutt. Mrs. Hambel was a life-long resident of Athens County area. She attended Redtown Free Methodist Church and was a member of Three Star Senior Citizens Club of Glouster. She is survived by a daughter, Living of Glouster; three sons, William L. and Living of Glouster, and Living of Shade; 23 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Roy (Edna) Taylor of Jackson, Naomi Brooks of Massillon, Martha Lenigar of The Plains, Lois Sharp of Trimble, Living of Sanford, Fla., Living of New Philadelphia, and Mrs. Ed (Osie) Bently of De Land, Fla., three brothers, Issac McNutt of Charleston, W.Va., Marion McNutt of Albany, and Living of Butler, several nieces, and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William I. "Red" Chesser, in 1960; second husband, Elmer D. Hambel, in 1977; a son, Earl W. Chesser; and two brothers, James and Leo McNutt. Services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at Hughes-Blower Funeral Home in Athens with the Rev. William Strausbaugh officiating. Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Redtown Free Methodist Church.
