Description	:	Robert J. Chesser, 68 of Glouster passed away Tuesday May 5, 2015 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens. Born August 3, 1946 in Athens, he was the son of the late William and Lula McNutt Chesser. Bob was known as a wheeler and dealer who enjoyed going to swap meets. He was an avid outdoorsman, motorcyclist, and gun collector. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and talking on the C.B. with a C.B. handle of “Louisiana Man”. Chesser, 68 of Glouster passed away Tuesday May 5, 2015 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens. Born August 3, 1946 in Athens, he was the son of the late William and Lula McNutt Chesser. Bob was known as a wheeler and dealer who enjoyed going to swap meets. He was an avid outdoorsman, motorcyclist, and gun collector. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and talking on the C.B. with a C.B. handle of “Louisiana Man”. Most of all, Robert was known as a family man. He is survived by his wife, Pamela L. McDonald Chesser of Glouster; four sons, Robert C. (Aki Nikura) Chesser of Sasebo, Japan, Michael P. (Sophia) Chesser of Reno, NV, John W. Chesser of Amesville, and Joshua D. (Cheyenne) Frank of Glouster; four daughters, Janie (Jason) Richards of Amesville, Katherine (Kurtis) Hall of Glouster, Alicia N. (Quinn Brunton) McDonald of Trimble and Rachael D. Chauvin of Shreveport, LA; 18 grandchildren; one great grandchild and another expected in June; a brother, Larry E. Chesser of Glouster; a sister, Martha Jean Adams of Glouster; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Bill Chesser; and a brother-in-law, Don Adams. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Glouster with Fr. Christopher Foxhoven officiating. Interment will be in the Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield. Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Chapel on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. where there will be a prayer vigil held at 7:30 p.m. Contributions can be made to the Morrison Funeral Chapel, 6525 State Route 78, Glouster, Ohio 45732 to help with funeral expenses.
