Lloyd Latta officiating. Burial was in the Fremont Cemetery. Lula May Switzer, daughter of Horatio and Jane Husted was born December 24, 1879 in Madison Township and passed away February 5, 1949 at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 11 days at an Osceola Hospital. She was one of a family of twelve children. Her childhood days were spent on the farm near Union Church where she regularly attended services. She united in marriage to John S. Switzer on December 24, 1901. To this union two children were born. Fred P. Switzer of Osceola and Mrs Alice Boor of Murray. She and her husband moved to Fremont township where they both joined the Fremont Methodist Church. In 1939 they moved to Osceola. She transferred her membership here. She was a devoted wife and mother, and patient sufferer, who will be greatly missed by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband who died, December 13, 1943 and also by one sister and seven brothers. She is survived by her son and daughter and two grandchildren, Wayne and James Boor, to whom she was greatly devoted. She is also survived by one sister, Delia McClure of Loveland, Colorado, two brothers, Frank of Wise River, Montana and Ed of Kirkland Washington, also other relatives and a host of friends This was an old newspaper clipping that belonged to Bryan Day son of Thomas W.
