Description	:	Mrs. Wallace (Lulu Elizabeth) Edelen, 75, of Brooklyn was dead on arrival at Grinnell General Hospital Friday evening after suffering an apparent heart attack while attending the District 79 Rebekah convention in Brooklyn. The daughter of Thomas Lane and Louisa Jane Null Akery, she was born April 15, 1898, in Centerville, Ark. She moved to Brooklyn as a young girl. Read More	Mrs. Wallace (Lulu Elizabeth) Edelen, 75, of Brooklyn was dead on arrival at Grinnell General Hospital Friday evening after suffering an apparent heart attack while attending the District 79 Rebekah convention in Brooklyn. The daughter of Thomas Lane and Louisa Jane Null Akery, she was born April 15, 1898, in Centerville, Ark. She moved to Brooklyn as a young girl. She was married to Wallace Edelen Aug. 11, 1921, in Oskaloosa. The couple lived in the Brooklyn area following their marriage. Mrs. Edelen was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn, Martha Circle of the United Presbyerian Church, and Deborah Rebekah Lodge of Brooklyn. Mrs. Edelen had attended Cornell College at Mt. Vernon and had taught school. Survivors include her husband Wallace; two sons, Keith of rural Grinnell and Charles of Anchorage, Alaska; one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Kathleen) Kester of Marshalltown; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Avery and Mrs. Gertrude Kraft, both of Brooklyn; one brother, Dan Akery of Brooklyn; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers, and her parents. Funeral services for Mrs. Edelen were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the United Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, with the Rev.
