Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church. Washington, with the Rev. Richard Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Home. Washington. The family will be present from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established with the First Christian Church. Luther C. Dillavou was born March 30, 1910, in West Burlington, to Gerald Orville Dillavou and Mary Martha Mosher. He married Dorothy M. Seitz ia Burlington, on Oct. 4, 1937. He lived in Washington for the past five years, formerly residing in Keota. He attended school in Yarmouth and was ,member of the First Christian Church, Washington. He was self-employed as a carpenter and previously worked at International harvester in Twin-Cities and at Ross Manufacturing, Washington. Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy M. Dillavou, Washington; six children, Donna Crow, Colona, Ill., Mary Randall, Washington, La Moine ‘Butch’ Dillavou. Washington, Elaine DeVore, Columbus Junction, Marilyn Snyder, Fruitland, Peggy Seaba, Sigourney; one brother, Rex Dillavou, Boone; one sister, Eileen Evans, Muscatine; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Luther Dillavou.
