Description	:	Luther M. Darby died at his home midway between Prosser and Grandview shortly after midnight, June 26, 1974 after, an apparent heart attack. He was 82 years of age. Mr. Darby was born at Havelock, Nebraska, where he spent his early years and received his education. On February 14, 1915, Miss May McKinney and Luther Darby were married at Havelock. Together they moved to Plainview, Nebr, where they farmed until 1943 when they moved to Washington. Darby died at his home midway between Prosser and Grandview shortly after midnight, June 26, 1974 after, an apparent heart attack. He was 82 years of age. Mr. Darby was born at Havelock, Nebraska, where he spent his early years and received his education. On February 14, 1915, Miss May McKinney and Luther Darby were married at Havelock. Together they moved to Plainview, Nebr, where they farmed until 1943 when they moved to Washington. They lived at Richland and Yakima before moving to their ranch on King Tull Road between Grandview and Prosser. His wife, Mrs. May Darby died June 22, 1960. In 1961, Mrs. Marcella Raubach and Luther were married at Pierce, Nebr. They since made their home on their ranch on King Tull Road, where they raised cattle. Mr. Darby was a member of the United Methodist Church, a 25 year member of the Buena Vista Grange, a charter member of the Modern Woodmen of America, a past member of the I. O. O. F. Lodge, and took an active interest in 4-H club affairs, have been a staunch supporter of his children and grand-children in 4-H club activities. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marcella Darby; one son Paul Darby of Grandview; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Myers of Pasco; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and four stepdaughters, Mrs. Varedo Huwaldt of Randolph, Nebr, Mrs. Kathleen Darby of Grandview, Mrs. Barbara Plahn of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Frances Koehler of Pierce, Nebr; one brother, John Darby of Port Orchard; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Butler and Mrs. Myrtle Upright, both of Seal Beach, Calif., and a large number of nieces and nephews.
