Read More	Garden County News (Oshkosh, Nebraska), Mar. 3, 1960, Page 1 Luther Preston Tincher Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon in the Methodist church at Lewellen for Luther Preston Tincher, who died Feburary 22 at the Oshkosh hospital. Rev. J. F. Stilwell had charge of final rites and the Wright Funeral home made arrangements with burial in Ash Hollow cemetery. The deceased was born April 18, 1880, at Lowell, West Virginia, the son of William and Elizabeth Tincher. His age at time of death was 79 years 10 months and 4 days. In early manhood Mr. Tincher was united with the First Baptist church of Webb, West Virginia. He attended the Methodist church while residing in the Lewellen area. December 27, 1902, he was united in marriage to Hattie Burke at Myrtle, Kentucky. To this union six children were born, two preceding him in death, Mrs. Audrey Miles and an infant son Ray. His wife succumbed February 23, 1915. The family had moved from West Virginia to Lewellen in 1913. Mr. Tincher took a homestead west of Lewellen and resided there two years before moving to the ranch of Winn Taylor. He worked there two years and then moved to the Robert Taylor farm two miles south of Lewellen, engaging in farming there for 25 years before retiring in 1942. In the summer of 1942 he was employed by the Buckler Construction Co of Vancouver, Washington, remaining there until 1947 when he returned to Lewellen. He remained there until 1950 when he went to live with his daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Roe Dilley of Oshkosh. He is survived by one son, Clyde Tincher of Hunter, Missouri; three daughters, Mrs. Nona Cooper of Lewellen, Mrs. Mabel Dilley of Oshkosh and Mrs Sarah Summers of Tacoma, Washington; ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and neighbors. At final rites Mrs. William Hasemeyer was at the organ as Fred Penick and Paul E. Temple sang "The Old Rugged Cross," "Beyond the Sunset" and "In the Garden." Honorary pallbearers were Clayton Brunt, Ed Wood, Wes Clark, James Patterson and Archie Johnson. Pallbearers were Paul D. Temple, Kenneth Copley, Lyle Browm, J. L. Kats, Melvin White and Oren Clary.
