Mr. Kessler was born in York County, the son of the late Franklin R. and Lucinda (Shearer) Kessler. He had retired from Utz Quality Foods and was a member of St. Paul (Dubs) Lutheran Church, Hanover RD 3. Mr. Kessler also is survived by three sons, Robert L. Kessler, Hanover Hall; Wilmer F. Kessler, 620 W. Middle St., and Eugene J. Kessler, 836 Hartman Ave.; a daughter, Arlene Wildasin, 1407 Baltimore St.; a grandson, a step-grandson, a great-granddaughter, and a sister, Martha Dubs, 125 Farmview Drive, York. Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Gerhard H. W. Roggenkamp. The Evening Sun, Tuesday January 6, 1976 Kessler’s Married 60 Years Mr. and Mrs. Luther T. Kessler, 606 Locust St., recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple was married on New Year’s Day, 1916, by the late Rev. John L. Guth at the parsonage of Jefferson Reformed Charge, Codorus. Mrs. Kessler also celebrated her birthday during the dinner given in the couple’s honor by their children: Robert Kessler, at home; Mrs. Arlene Wildasin, 1407 Baltimore St.; Wilmer Kessler, 620 W. Middle St., and Eugene Kessler, 836 Hartman Ave. The couple also have one granddaughter and one step-grandson. Mrs. Kessler is the daughter of the late Jacob S. and Maquilla Krout Smith, Sinsheim. Her husband is the son of the late Franklin R. and Lucinda Shearer Kessler, Sinsheim. Kessler had been employed by Utz Potato Chip Co. for 38 years before retiring in 1962.
