Miss Stocker whose home was in Fairbury, Nebraska, had been visiting at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Byran P. Ingraham on East Sixth Street for the past week. Death was caused by pneumonia following an attack of influenza which she suffered before coming to Concordia. Luthera Stocker was born in Concordia, Kansas, April 13, 1905, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oral Stocker. The family left Concordia when Luthera was eight years of age, first going to Belleville and four years later to Fairbury, Nebraska. She was a graduate of Fairbury High School in the Class of 1924, and was a member of the Christian Church of that city. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oral Stocker, and one brother Byran of Fairbury; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. B.P. Ingraham, and grandfather, Richard Stocker; two aunts, Mrs. Earl Fick and Miss Lona Stocker; and three uncles, Clarence Ingraham and Ernest Stocker of Concordia and Roy Stocker of Fairbury. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Concordia Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. H.G. Bond in charge. Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were the girls of the Rebekah Lodge of which Luthera's mother was a member.
