Description	:	LuVerne M. Jensen, 76, of Erwin, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at Brookings Hospital. His funeral will be Friday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bryant with the Rev. Sue Grinde officiating. Burial will follow in East Bethany Cemetery, rural Erwin. Visitation at Osthus Funeral Chapel in Bryant. LuVerne M. Jensen was born May 23, 1931, to Julius and Myrtle (Burgeson) Jensen on a farm south of Erwin. He attended Jensen Heartland Country School. He married Donna Stever Oct. 15, 1952, at Bryant. He entered the Army and served from 1953-55. They returned to the Erwin area and farmed until 1992 when he retired. In 1978 he was the Wagon Master for the American Agriculture Tractorcade Movement to Washington, D.C. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Erwin American Legion. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, listening to country music and watching western movies. He is survived by his wife; five children, Steve of Lewiston, Idaho, Rocky (Jamie) of Rapid City, Deb (Les) Jallo of Minto, N.D., Scott (Kim) of Lake Preston and Lori (Lynn) Hesby of Hetland; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Virgil (Joyce) of Erwin and Merlyn (Margaret) of Volga; and two sisters, Joyce Dubro of Huron and Geraldine (Richard) Lommel of St. Cloud, Minn.
