She was united in marriage to Larkin Moon on March 28, 1839. LUVISA MOON Mrs. Luvisa Moon was born in Orange county, Indiana, December 25, 1820, and departed this life at her home near Belinda, Iowa, October 22, 1898. She was united in marriage to Larkin Moon on March 28, 1839. This union was blessed with five children, three of whom, Kinder, Matilda and Lydia, are living, the husband and two daughters having preceded her to the spirit land. She united with the Church of Christ in early life in the state of Indiana. After coming to Iowa she identified herself with the Church of Christ at Belinda, being one of the charter members. We understand that but two charter members are now living, A. N. and Charlotte Byers. Mrs. Moon was a consistent Christian, devoted to the cause of the Master whom she loved and served so faithfully in this life. When health and strength permitted, she was always found at her post of duty in the house of the Lord on the Lord's day. The bereaved have the sympathy of the entire community in their affliction. Funeral services were held in the Christian church at Belinda and the remains were laid to rest in the Strong cemetery to await the final resurrection.
