Description	:	Obituary: LYALL ELDRIDGE, LIFETIME COUNTY RESIDENT, DIES Funeral services were held at the First United Presbyterian Church Monday afternoon for Lyall Eldridge, lifetime Jefferson County resident, who died Friday at Harbor view Hospital, Seattle, where he had been a patient for the last month. Mr. Eldridge, 69 years old, was a member of one of the original families that settled Chimacum Valley in the early 1850's. His parents were William and Mary Ann Bishop Eldridge and he was born at Chimacum July 7, 1894. He made his home at Hadlock many years. Mr. Eldridge attended Chimacum schools and worked in the old steel mill in Irondale. He also followed farming and worked as a long shore man before becoming a school custodian and bus driver. He followed that occupation first at Chimacum and later at Port Townsend High School. After retiring from the school custodial staff he did janitor work for the First American National Bank. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Eldridge is survived by two daughters, Grace Hoyt, Portland; and Alice Bunce, Hadlock; a brother, Alfred (Ted) Eldridge, Chimacum; six grandchildren and a great grand daughter. The Rev. Paul Hackett conducted the funeral service and interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Chimacum. Pall Bearers included Marshall Walters, Wayne Eldridge, Ralph Hendricks, Willis Eldridge, Harry Francis Jr., and Kenneth Eldridge.
