Description	:	Obituary: SERVICES HELD SATURDAY FOR ELSIE ELDRIDGE Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Stoud's Chapel for Elsie H. Eldridge, Hadlock resident for 54 years, whose death occured at her home early in the morning of May 28. Mrs. Eldridge was the wife of Lyall Eldridge, member of a pioneer Chimacum valley family, whom he married in 1914. She was born in Superior, Wisconsin, October 14, 1896, the daughter of August and Ida Beckman Hammer, and came to this area with her family in 1905. She attended school at Chimacum. Mrs. Eldridge was the wife of Lyall Eldridge, member of a pioneer Chimacum valley family, whom he married in 1914. She was born in Superior, Wisconsin, October 14, 1896, the daughter of August and Ida Beckman Hammer, and came to this area with her family in 1905. She attended school at Chimacum. Mrs. Eldridge's hobby was flower gardening and the raising of house plants. The rev. Bertram Robins , Trinity Methodist Church, conducted the service. C. Vincent Paddock was soloist and June Hodgdon organist. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Chimacum. Pall bearers included Albert Klemanm, Win Williams, Everett Martin, Tom Bakken, Dave Bengston and George Currier. Besides her husband at Hadlock, Mrs. Eldridge is survived by two daughters, Alice Nelson, Irondale, and Grace Hoyt, Portland; six grandchildren, Dean, Claudia and Charles Nelson, all of Irondale, and Mary Frances, Penelope and Jerome Hoyt, all of Portland. There also are five brother and four sisters.
