Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. The Rev. Scott Johnson and the Rev. Dennis J. Mardis will officiate. Burial, directed by Mayer Funeral Home, Georgetown Chapel, will be in the churchyard. Mrs. Anderson was born in Georgetown of Dec. 30,1911, a daughter of the late Christopher Columbus Mercer and Sarah Catherine Porter Mercer. Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Anderson Pope of Georgetown; a sister Kathryn Mercer Coutu of Andrews; two grandchildren, Anthony "Tony" Holland Pope of Summerville and Sarah Lynn Pope Greer of Rock Hill; two great-grandchildren, John Anthony Pope of Summerville and Emily Ruth Greer of Rock Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
