She departed from this life on Monday, January 27, 1975 at the Howard County Hospital at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 24 days. Lydia was born on a farm in the Wolbach area. She was the seventh child in a family eleven children. She attended rural schools in Greeley County where most of her life was spent. On November 13, 1911, Lydia was united in marriage to George H. Studley. Born to this union were two sons, Leo and Darl. The couple farmed in Greeley county until they retired and moved to Wolbach in 1961. They observed their golden wedding in that same year. Lydia was baptized, was a born again Christian, and a devoted member of the Wolbach Methodist Church. She belonged to the United Methodist Women of Christian Service and Rebekah Lodge. She was willing to serve whenever she was needed, was a concerned neighbor, a loving mother and a dear grandmother. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and four brothers. She leaves to mourn her passing, her two sons, Leo of St. Paul and Darl of Greeley; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Leth of St. Paul and Mrs. Emma Studley of Greeley; one brother, Alfred of Grand Island; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
