Description	:	Anchorage Daily News August 11, 1992 Lyle Arthur Camidge, 71, died Aug. 8 at his Anchorage residence. A service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, downtown. Additional services were held in Spokane, Wash. Those arrangements were handled by the Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in Spokane. Mr. Camidge was born June 28, 1921, in Diana, N.Y. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1940 to 1945, receiving his discharge from the Navy Hospital at Pearl Harbor. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in Spokane. Mr. Camidge was born June 28, 1921, in Diana, N.Y. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1940 to 1945, receiving his discharge from the Navy Hospital at Pearl Harbor. From 1947 through 1949, Mr. Camidge worked at Adak. He moved to Anchorage in August of 1980. He worked in general construction through Local 1547, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, then in 1982, went to work for Municipal Light & Power. He retired in 1989. His family said: "Mr. Camidge was known for being a skilled electrician. He loved his work, and helping people, thus making many lifelong friends." He also enjoyed the Alaska outdoors, fishing and hunting, macrame and crocheting. He was member of the Golden Eagle Lodge 649 in Cle Elum, Wash., and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Sequim, Wash. Mr. Camidge is survived by his wife, Mary of Anchorage; his daughter, Camay Hitchcock of Spanaway, Wash., his brother, John of New York; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
