Read More	Master Lyle Delbert Joy, son and only child of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Joy, closed his eyes in the sleep of death Thursday, September 26, 1929 at Rochester, Minnesota. Lyle Delbert was born March 31st, 1925, at Fairmont, Nebraska; his age being four years, six months and twenty-six days. Master Lyle had been ailing for about two and a half months. During this time medical and surgical help had been sought at Lincoln, Nebraska, and at Rochester, Minnesota. All that human ingenuity and skill could do was done. Nothing of sacrifice, patience and hope was spared to effect the recovery of health. But his case was beyond human reach. So He who knows best, and who is the Great Physician took him to Himself, and to that kingdom of which he was a part. He leaves to mourn his early departure, his beloved and loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Joy; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Joy; his grandmother, Mrs. S.C. Stephenson of Fairmont; also one great-grandmother, Mrs. Regina Huegel of York, Nebraska. Other near relatives are his aunts, Mrs. Albert Martin, Mrs. Lewis Porter of Fairmont and Mrs. Albert Jacobs of Denver, Colorado and one uncle, Samuel Stephenson of Fairmont. There are also three cousins, Ruth Jacobs, Harold Martin and Robert Porter. His grandfather Stephenson preceded him by just two months. Short services were held at the Joy home Monday afternoon at tow o'clock, with funeral services at the Methodist Episcopal church at 2:30 o'clock; Rev. C.H. Lind officiating. Acting pallbearers were Lester Joy, Kenneth Joy, Rollin Bricker and Harry Stephenson, cousins of the deceased. Sixty out of town relatives and near friends came from Friend, Dorchester, Exeter, York, Lincoln and Grand Island to be present at the funeral. The Royal Neighbors and Rebekah lodges were present in a body. There were many beautiful floral offerings and expressions of sympathy. Interment was made i the Fairmont cemetery.
