Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Lyle Earl Wolken was born on Wednesday; April 8, 1925 in rural Dillon; Marshall County, Iowa. He was the son of: Arthur and Rose (Nuese) Wolken. Lyle served his country during World War II as part of the Army occupation of Germany. Lyle was united in marriage to Frances Olson in September of 1950. He worked on the family farm for many years and after retiring from farming, he and Frances moved to Marshalltown, Iowa where Lyle worked as a courier. Lyle and his wife Frances have always been faithful supporting members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dillon and were very active in adult Bible studies. Lyle Earl Wolken, age: 85, passed away on Thursday; January 13, 2011 at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center in Marshalltown, Iowa. Those left to mourn his passing are: His loving wife of 60 years: Frances. His two daughters: Rosemary (Jim) Coody and Betty Wolken both of Colorado. His two sisters: Fern Thompson of Marshalltown, Iowa and Gale Wolken of State Center; Marshall County, Iowa. Lyle joins in eternal life his brothers: Richard and Wesley and his parents. Visitation will be from: 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday; January 16, 2011 at Pursel-Davis Funeral and Cremation Care in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will begin at: 10:30 a.m. on Monday; January 17, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dillon, Iowa with Pastor Fred Berry officiating. Interment with Flag Presentation Honors will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Dillon, Iowa.
