Description	:	Born October 17, 1931, near Rice to Ernest and Isabel Wegert Lagasse. Grew up on the family farm and attended District 30 Rural School as did his parents and some of his grandparents. Attended Concordia High School, played trombone in the marching and concert bands; involved in Future Farmers of America and Hill and Dale 4-H Club,competed in animal, dairy, poultry, grain and meat judging contests. Read More	Born October 17, 1931, near Rice to Ernest and Isabel Wegert Lagasse. Grew up on the family farm and attended District 30 Rural School as did his parents and some of his grandparents. Attended Concordia High School, played trombone in the marching and concert bands; involved in Future Farmers of America and Hill and Dale 4-H Club,competed in animal, dairy, poultry, grain and meat judging contests. Graduated from Kansas State College in 1953, again playing trombone in marching and concert bands and a member of the University Poultry Judging Team. Here he met Ruth Young and they were married August 10, 1952. Received an Air Force Commission through ROTC a K-State and had a 20-year Air Force career, retiring with rank of Lt.Colonel. Then began Anchor Construction Corporation in Colorado Springs with two friends, a business that continued for many years. Ruth died in 1985 while undergoing cardiac bypass surgery. In 1990 Lyle married Beverly Lovelace, a long time friend. Lyle is preceded in death by his parents; his wifes, Ruth and Beverly; his brother-in-law Norman Manz. He is survived by his wife, Ann; sister Jean Manz; step-children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at the Grace Presbyterian Church, Colorado Springs, with graveside services at the Rice Cemetery. Lyle closed his biography in the Cloud County History Book - 1992 with this scripture: "He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations." Deut. 7:9
