Description	:	Lyle J. Hoelting, 75, Omaha, Nebr. died Monday, February 7, 2011 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, with his family members at his side. Mr. Hoelting had been "under the weather" for some time and had triple by-pass heart surgery the week before his death. Funeral services were held at Sacred Heart church (sic) in Lawrence on Saturday, Feb. 12. The Mass of Christian Burial was con-celebrated by the Reverends: Loras Grell, Bernard Kimminau, Rayappa Konka and Frank Dvorak. Gift Beareres for Mass were: Holly Hoelting, Abby Kile and Sarah Hoelting. The Knights of Columbus stood Honor Guard for Lyle, who was a 49 year member of the Order. A Rosary Service was also held by the Knights of Columbus Friday evening. Pallbearers were: Nigel Hoelting, Tyler Hoelting, Riley Hoelting, Paul Hoelting, Jacob Hoelting, Kurt Hoelting, Ryan Kile, Brad Beyke. Interment was in the Sacred Heart parish cemetery east of Lawrence. Lyle was born on March 26, 1935 to Albert and Christina (Mazour) Hoelting at Lawrence. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1953 where he was an all state 6-man football player. He married Joan M. Mazour on August 25, 1955 at Lawrence. He worked at the Naval Ammunitions Depot for 2 years in Hastings, Ne. before beginning a 38 year career in the Grain, Feed and Fertilizer business in Lawrence. He was also involved in the cattle industry. Lyle was devoted to the Catholic Church and was a member of Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Omaha, and former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lawrence. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Lyle's passion for life will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He cherished family and social events. He always parted with the phrase, "whatever you do, do well". Lyle was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Joan, Omaha, three sons: Rick (Marie) Hoelting, Omaha, Nebr., Gene (Lindy) Hoelting, Lincoln, Nebr., Randy (Trish) Hoelting, Bettendorf, Iowa, one Daughter: Tina (Gene) Kile, Lawrence, one Brother: Roland (Marian) Hoelting, Lawrence, one Brother-In-Law: John Beyke, Hastings, eight grandchildren: Nigel (Ashley) Hoelting, Riley Hoelting, Sarah and Jacob Hoelting, Tyler and Holly Hoelting, Ryan and Abby Kile, one Great Grandson: Brayden Hoelting, four Nephews, two Nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, one Daughter: Debbie, one Sister-In-Law: Rose Beyke. Burial was held in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Lawrence. Memorials are suggested to the family.
