Description	:	Lynn Renee Backhaus Braeker was born on March 2, 1956, at Denison, the daughter of Fred and Patricia Munson Backhaus. She died on Thursday, November 15, 1984, at her home in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 28. Lynn was raised in the Schleswig community, She graduated from the Schleswig High School where she was active in music in 1974, She graduated from the Patricia Stevens School in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1975. Read More	Lynn Renee Backhaus Braeker was born on March 2, 1956, at Denison, the daughter of Fred and Patricia Munson Backhaus. She died on Thursday, November 15, 1984, at her home in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 28. Lynn was raised in the Schleswig community, She graduated from the Schleswig High School where she was active in music in 1974, She graduated from the Patricia Stevens School in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1975. Lynn remained in Omaha for a brief time where she was employed. Later she enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in Korea and Germany while completing two tours of duty. On December 23, 1983. Lynn was united in marriage to Joseph Braeker at the United Church of Christ in Schleswig, After completing her duty in Germany, they made their home in Lawton, Oklahoma. Lynn was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Backhaus and her maternal grandfather Ronald Munson. Survivors include her husband Joe of Lawton, Oklahoma, her parents, Fred and Patricia Backhaus of Schleswig, one brother Ronald Backhaus of Denison, one sister, Andrea, Mrs. Jeff Oppenheimer of Orlando, Florida and by her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Dorthe Munson of Denison, Also surviving are three nieces, Rachel, Aja-Lynn and Jamie and by one nephew, Clinton as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, November 19, 1984, at 10:30 a .m., at the United Church of Christ in Schleswig, The Rev. Fred Moore officiated at the services. Burial was in the Morgan Cemetery near Schleswig with full military rites provided by the Schleswig American Legion and V.F.W. Music for the services included Mrs. Dorothy Jessen as organist with soloists, Barb Buffum, Janet Lafrentz and Pam Gronau, Hymns included "How Great Thou Art" and "The Lord's Prayer".
