Description	:	Mabel Roske, 96, of Polson died from natural causes on Friday, Dec. 5, 2003 at St Joseph Hospital in Polson. She was born Aug. 9, 1907, in White Earth, N.D., to Lewis and Bell (Weltha) Anderson. She attended and graduated from Polson High School. Mabel married Joseph Roske in Missoula in 1928. He died in 1968. She worked as a waitress in Polson, Ronan, and at the Salish Hotel until 1977. Mabel helped at the Lutheran Church making hundreds of quilts and at the County Store. Besides making quilts her hobby was crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Bell Anderson, her husband Joseph, sister Margaret Starr, and brothers Kenneth and Arnold Anderson. Mabel is survived by her son, Donnal Roske of Missoula; a daughter, Barbara Legoo of Nehalem, Ore.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Dec. 9 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Paul Rowold officiating. Internment was in Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangement and cremation were by Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory, Polson.
