Educated in the Minden school system, she was a graduate of the Minden High School and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University. Read More	The Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, unknown date Mabel Larsen, daughter of Christian and Nellie Petersen, was born July 24, 1897, in Minden, Neb., and died Sept. 17, 1975, at Clark Jeary Memorial Manor in Lincoln. Educated in the Minden school system, she was a graduate of the Minden High School and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University. Sept. 5, 1918, she was united in marriage with Fred Larsen of Minden in a ceremony at Lincoln. To this union were born two daughters, Dorothy and Carol. For a few years the Larsens farmed in the Mankato area and then for a year near Franklin. During that time Mrs. Larsen was a member of the Minden Methodist Church. Then in 1926 the family moved to Superior where they resided until her husband's death in December of last year. For the past seven months Mrs. Larsen has been a resident of the Clark Jeary Memorial Manor in Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her husband; Fred: parents; a brother, Paul Petersen; and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Nelson. Survivors are her daughers (sic), Dorothy Hinkson and Carol Gray, both of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Michael Gray and Carol Jean Schultz, also of Lincoln; three great-granddaughters, Stacey and Jennifer Schultz and Stepahnie (sic) Gray; two brothers, Clifford Petersen and Wesley Petersen, both of Minden; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Layton Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Joseph Barr officiating. Interment was in the Minden Cemetery.
