Young on August 13, 1936 and he died January 11, 1985. Also preceding her in death were a brother, Kade Carpenter; and 3 sisters, Neva Rebman, Mildred Stump and Cleo Trimmer. Surviving are 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Wilford O. and Sharon Young of Columbia City and Max E. and Carol Young of Albion; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Anna and Thomas Stump of Avilla; 2 brothers, Thomas Hontz of Columbia City and Dale Hontz of Etna; 2 sisters, Mary Harmon of Warsaw and Erma Stump of Ligonier; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial, Thorn Cemetery. ~ 5-3-2001
