Description	:	Mack John Percy was born about 10 miles east of Humboldt. He was the 10th son of Joseph Cleophas & Mary Elliott Gervais. His mother died of a heart attack a few hours after his birth so he was taken to live with his aunt Mathilda Elliott Percy and her husband John. He used the name Percy all of his life and had it legally changed in 1940. He served in the army in 1917 and went to OK for training.
