Surviving are her daughter, Patience Roberts and husband William, Loretto, Ontario; grandchildren, Gary, Carla, Karen, Krista, Yvonne, Bridgette, Ursula, and LeeAnn; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Lantz; several nieces and nephews. We especially appreciated the care and assistance of brother-in-law, Russell and family, Cheryl, Judy, Tammy, and Dwayne, and very good friend, Helen Ferns. She was predeceased by her first husband, Jack Ethridge and second husband, Walter Irvine; sons, David and Donald Ethridge; sister, Isobel "Honey" Mader and brother, Oliver Lantz; grandchildren William Roberts Jr. and Susan McGill. Visiting hours for family and friends will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. Funeral 11 a.m. Friday in Trinity United Church, Mahone bay, Rev. Heather Hemming officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Clearland. Donations in Madeline's memory may be made to Trinity United Church, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the VON, Lunenburg County Branch.
