Description	:	OBITUARY–CONROY Mae Pauline Ramsey was born in Valley Falls, Kansas, September 19, 1897; died April 26, 1919, aged 21 years, 7 months, 7 days. Death was due to bronchial pneumonia following the influenza. She was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Ramsey, and the greater part of her young life was spent on the farm west of town, having moved to that place in early childhood. She attended the Valley Falls Public School, graduating in 1916. Death was due to bronchial pneumonia following the influenza. She was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Ramsey, and the greater part of her young life was spent on the farm west of town, having moved to that place in early childhood. She attended the Valley Falls Public School, graduating in 1916. She was married to Floyd M. Conroy at St. Joseph, Mo., May 14, 1917 and immediately went to make their home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Conroy. One strange coincident, in the lives of these young people was that they were of the same age to the day. Mae was of a loving, sweet disposition, meeting everyone with a smile and always thoughtful of others comfort. She took up the duties of housewife with a will and the young couple had a bright future before them until serious illness, which seemed beyond medical aid, set its seal upon her. She bore her suffering patiently and uncomplainingly, always answering "all right" when asked how she was feeling. All her near relatives were at her bedside until the last and all that loving hands could do, was done for her, but the kind Father knew best. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, a five months old son, Donald, father, mother, sister Rose and brother Curtis, besides other relatives and friends. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Chas. H. Kimball were held from the farm home five miles northwest of Valley Falls Monday afternoon, in the presence of the relatives and a number of neighbors and friends.
