Description	:	THE FUNERAL for Magdalena Forkel, 93, of Aberdeen Nursing Center, formerly of 808 S. 11th St., will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Aberdeen Alliance Church, 901 S. Main St., with the Rev. Ralph Davis officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Miller—Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., 8 pan. Tuesday until Noon Thursday, and at the church one hour before the service. The casket will not be opened after the service. The family is asked to meet at the church at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The family prefers memorials. She died Saturday, July 13, 1985, at the nursing center. Magdalena Gutjahr was born March 20, 1892, at Odessa, South Russia, to Jacob and Eva Stotz Gutjahr. The family moved to the Hosmer area when she was two and she attended school there. She married Wilhelm Forkel March 26, 1909, at Eureka, and they farmed in the Hosmer area until 1938 when they retired into Aberdeen. Her husband died May 3, 1976, and she entered the nursing home in January 1976. She was a member of the Aberdeen Alliance Church and the Ladies Aide. Survivors include three sons, Edwin, Hosmer; Bill, Roscoe, and Adolph, Aberdeen; three daughters, Mrs. Helmuth (Lydia) Ehresmann and Mrs. Adam (Maggie) Kainer, both of Aberdeen and Mrs. Herbert (Esther) Lauer, Norcross, Ga.; four sisters, Mrs. Eva Schaible, Hosmer; Mrs. Mary Klein and Mrs. Lydia Pietz, both of Aberdeen and Mrs. Albert (Rose) Hausauer, Odessa, Wash.; 21 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, seven brothers, two grandchildren and one great-grandson. Organist will be Diana Larson with Marie Adams as soloist. Reinhold Gutjahr will. usher. Casket Bearers will be grandchildren, John Adams, Herbert Forkel, Milton and Stanley Ehresmann, Lester Lauer and Harry Preszler.
