Magdalena Sahli was born on May 8, 1866, near Odessa Russia. She was married to Louis Englehart on February 1, 1886, and they came to the United States in 1898, locating in Aberdeen, where they lived for eleven years. In 1909 they located on a homestead south of Bison where they established a farm home. Ten children were born to them. Since Mr. Englehart's death, Mrs. Englehart has made her home among her children. Five years ago she suffered a stroke, and since that time she has been bedridden much of the time, with periods of decline from which she rallied under the loving care of her children. She has been with her daughter Mrs. Edward Haugen the past year or more. During her last illness, her children and grand-children shared the vigil at her bedside and were with her when the end came. Fr. John Corry officiated at rites held at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church here Saturday morning, and at rosary the preceding evening. The Catholic choir sang appropriate selections. Interment was made in the Bison Cemetery beside the grave of her husband. Flowers and memorial were given in tribute to the deceased. Mrs. Englehart is survived by four children, John, Louis and Magaret of Bison, Sebastian of Aberdeen, 27 grand-children, 52 great-grand-children and 3 great-great-grand-children. Her husband and six children preceded her in death. The casket was borne by six grandsons, Joe, Leon, Dean and Llewellyn Englehart, Howard Haugen and W.O. Warren. Relatives who came from distance to attend the services included Mr. and Mrs. Sebastian Englehart, Joe Englehart and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gross, Aberdeen; Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson and Jerry, Ft. Pierre; Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Nash and Dwight, Hettinger; Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Warren and Craig, Belfield, ND; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kok, Ellingson. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
