Description	:	Magdeleana Fredricks was born at Holstein, Germany on September 27, 1854 and came to America to the home of her brother Hans Henry Fredrickson in Knox County, Nebraska in the spring of 1882. She was united in marriage to Wm F. Gruchow, August 31, 1882 and took up their residence on the old homestead south of Winnetoon immediately after their marriage and continued to reside there until eight years ago when the old homestead was turned over to their only son, Claus Henry and they purchased one of the most beautiful modern homes in Winnetoon and moved to town where they... Read More	Magdeleana Fredricks was born at Holstein, Germany on September 27, 1854 and came to America to the home of her brother Hans Henry Fredrickson in Knox County, Nebraska in the spring of 1882. She was united in marriage to Wm F. Gruchow, August 31, 1882 and took up their residence on the old homestead south of Winnetoon immediately after their marriage and continued to reside there until eight years ago when the old homestead was turned over to their only son, Claus Henry and they purchased one of the most beautiful modern homes in Winnetoon and moved to town where they continued to reside until the time of her death, Monday, April 26, 1920 at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 29 days. To the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Gruchow, four children were born, two sons and two daughters. Herman F.W., who died at the age of 14 years, Claus Henry, who resides on the old homestead south of Winnetoon, Mrs. P.C. Paulson of Madelia, Minn., Mrs. N.C. Jensen of Winnetoon. Those of her immediate family left to mourn are her loving husband, son, two daughters, 13 grand children, two brothers, one in Germany and Claus Fredrichs of Minnesota and host of friends who have enjoyed her acquaintance and friendship for many years. She was taken ill over a year ago and everything within the power of medical skill and human hands was done for her recovery but her sickness continued and at time she suffered a great deal but never complained and was always cheerful and hopeful and planned so much for the time when she would again regain her former health and be able to enjoy the comforts of her home. Up until the time of her sickness of over a year she always enjoyed the best of health. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, her whole heart and soul being always devoted to the comforts of her home and welfare of her home and loved ones. She was loved and revered by all her neighbors and acquaintances and though she has passed away, the fragrance of her life will linger, a pleasant memory for many a year. This has ended a life of full of good words and works. After much suffering she has fallen asleep. Funeral services were held in the M.E. church in Winnetoon, Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock, conducted by Rev. Piersol and interment made in the Creighton cemetery. The pallbearers were A.W.
