Read More	The Ewing Advocate (Ewing, Nebraska) Friday 27 Jul 1928 'Magdelina Neisius Mrs. Matt Neisius, for more than forty years a resident of Silver Creek and community, passed away on July 19, 1928 at the home of her daughter Mrs Anna Rhoades, living north of Ewing, Nebr., where she. has been visiting. She suffered a stroke, on Wednesday morning, and passed away on Thursday afternoon. Magdeline Nosbisch was born in Germany on. April, 18, 1856, and died on July 19, 1928 at the age of 72 years, 3 months and one day. When a young girl she came to this country with her parents, and in the year 1879, at Rensen, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Matthias Neisius. A few years later she came with her husband to Nance county, 11 miles northwest of Silver Creek, where they remained until 1920, when they moved to Silver Creek. Mr. Neisius died on April 29, 1925. Following her husbands death, Mrs. Neisius made her home at Silver Creek, but spent the greater part of the time visiting at the homes of her children. Four children were born to this union, one of them dying in infancy. The three surviving, children are: John Neisius, of Lake Andes, S.D., Mrs. Anna Rhoades, Page, Nebr., and Mrs. Maggie Willis, Scottsbluff, Nebr. All of the children were at Silver Creek to attend the funeral. Other relatives who were here were Mr. and Mrs. John Neisius and daughter of Lemars, Iowa, Peter Shomer and Nick Hermer of Gilbertsville, Ia., and John Disberg and family, of Clay Center, Nebr. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the Catholic church at Ewing, and the body was brought to Silver Creek, where if was held at the Gray undertaking parlors. On Sunday morning at. eleven the remains were taken to the Catholic church, in Silver Creek, where the final rites of the church were administered by Fr. Kunkel, a close friend of the deceased. In his talk during the funeral services Fr. Kunkel told of. the beautiful comradeship that had existed between the deceased and her brother. Rev. N. H. Nosbisch, of Iowa, a Catholic priest, and who died just a week before the death of his sister.
