She was born October 6, 1919, in Sadie, LA, to Zackal and Mittie Graves Hodge. She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Read More	Ophelia Hodge DeShazo, 92 of Huttig, left this world Wednesday, September 5, 2012, to go home to a homecoming with her Lord and Savior and all her loved ones waiting for her over there. She was born October 6, 1919, in Sadie, LA, to Zackal and Mittie Graves Hodge. She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a life-long member of Huttig Assembly of God Church where she dedicated her life to serving her Savior and being a prayer warrior. Ophelia loved Spending time doing things for her family. Her children were her life. Her younger years were spent making their lives happy. Cooking was one of her biggest joys. If you ever tasted one of her chocolate or coconut pies, you knew it was from the old school. And oh, what a spotless housekeeper, the vacuum cleaner salesman couldn't demonstrate because she had no dirt. Ophelia was blessed to have enjoyed a very active and vibrant life up until the Lord decided to call her home. She still cooked Sunday dinner every week for her family. That was one of her great joys, to have her children and grandchildren at her home after church each Sunday. In her younger years, she always welcomed her pastor and his family at her table. When she laughed, it was from her heart and you knew how much she loved you. She spent many hours on her knees praying not only for her family, but for anyone who needed a touch from the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James F. DeShazo; and five brothers, Lee, Zackal Jr., Randolph, James D. and Coy Hodge; one sister, Marica Deaton. Survivors include two sons, Jackie DeShazo of Hot Springs, Gary DeShazo (Pat) of Huttig; one daughter, Sheila McMan (Larry) of El Dorado; three grandsons, Coby DeShazo, Jason McMan, and Jeffrey McMan; one granddaughter, Dana Marsh (Wes); six great grandchildren, Brennen and Daylin DeShazo, Kyle Marsh Kassidy Marsh, Keely Marsh and Blake Murphree. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, at Young's. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9, at Huttig Assembly of God Church with Rev. Duane Amis officiating. Burial will follow at Harper Springs Cemetery
