Albert Berg, pastor of the Swedish Baptist Church in Niobe, ND officiated. A quartette of singers from the Scandinavian Baptist Church of Kenmare sang at the funeral service. The services were held in the Kenmare Memorial Hall, rather than in a church in order to accommodate the large crowd of at least 600 mourners. Mait Cecelia “Minnie” was born in Nusnäs, Mora, Sweden on April 16, 1909. She was the fifth of six children and had a twin sister Margit. The family moved from Mora, Sweden in 1913 to Atwater, Minnesota. The following year, they moved to a farm in Vanville Township, Burke County, ND where she resided at the time of her death. She was 21 years, 11 months and 16 days of age and leaves to mourn her loss her mother, two sisters, two brothers, a sister in law, Elna Anderson; several uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of friends. The pallbearers were Roy Solem, Fran Lindberg, Bertel Lindberg, Walter Lindberg, Marvin Lindberg and Arthur Lindberg. Relatives were present for the funeral from outlying points. Her untimely death was a direct shock and loss to this community. She was greatly loved by those who knew her and our heartfelt sympathies go out to the sorrowing relatives in this unusual trial. The many beautiful flowers that bedecked her grave witness of the sweet peace and restful comfort that abides in her soul and body. Typed by John Mogren
