Their children were: William Crittenden Anna Pleasants John Wickliffe Lucy Livingston Mary Augusta Charles Lee Sarah Walker Kate Grymes Lilian Wight and Robert Edward. Their home was Waverly, Orange County, Virginia. He entered the Civil War at the outbreak of hostilities in 1861 as a Captain of the Gordonsville Grays, company C, 13th Virginia Infantry.
