Description	:	Malinda Brown was born in Pennsylvania to parents Abraham Brown and Mary Brownfield. She married John T. Hutchinson in Pennsylvania and she was the mother of 13 children, 12 of whom survived to adulthood. (The family is unsure of the middle name of John T. Hutchinson, probably either Tildon or Tindall.) After beginning their married life togther in Pennsylvania, Malinda and John traveled in wagons directly west to Ohio, where they remained for about 20 years. At least part of this time they were in Licking County, Ohio, at which time their eldest child, Isaac Brown Hutchinson was married to Samantha Leddick, north in Plymouth, Ohio. In about 1862 they all settled in Taylor County, Iowa, John and wife Malinda and their surviving children, including their eldest son, Isaac Brown Hutchinson and his new wife, Samantha traveled west together in wagons, as the story has been told and passed down in the family. Later in life, after husband John had died, Malinda lived in Kansas City, Missouri, where she lived with a son and where she later died. Her body was shipped back to Taylor County, Iowa where she was buried next to her husband, John T. Hutchinson. Her little stone is not engraved, but there are records pertaining to the shipping of her body. Also, in the family relics are the written wishes of Malinda's son, Isaac Brown Hutchinson, that when nearing his own death, Isaac wrote that he wished to be laid next to his mother, in Siam Cemetery. He was so buried and then later Isaac's wife Samantha Leddick Hutchinson was buried next to her husband, near the fence.
