Description	:	Mamie A. Pflug was born to Joseph F. and Angeline Lott Hafer on December 20,1896, at Geneva, and passed away May 13, 1989, at Issaquah, Wa., at the age of 92 years. She was one of two children in the family. Mamie graduated with the Class of 1915 from Geneva High School. She taught in rural schools in Fillmore County. Mamie was married to William C. Pflug was born to Joseph F. and Angeline Lott Hafer on December 20,1896, at Geneva, and passed away May 13, 1989, at Issaquah, Wa., at the age of 92 years. She was one of two children in the family. Mamie graduated with the Class of 1915 from Geneva High School. She taught in rural schools in Fillmore County. Mamie was married to William C. Pflug of Ohiowa on August 24, 1921, and to them one daughter, Eleanor, was born. Mamie and Bill made their home in Ohiowa where Bill was in the implement business until 1937 when they moved to York. At York, Bill was associated with Herbert Lauber in the seed business until 1952, when he built his own elevator, the Pflug Grain Co. In 1966, Bill preceded her in death. Mamie moved to Washington State in 1971 to be close to her daughter and family. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and Garden Club. She was a past president of the York American Legion Post 19 Auxiliary. Mamie was preceded in death by her parents and husband; and a sister, Hazel, in infancy. Graveside services were conducted at Greenwood Cemetery, York, on Wednesday, May 17, with the Rev. Bob Call officiating. Grandson, Brian Ritter accompanied himself on the guitar and sang "Amazing Grace." Honorary pallbearers were all five grandchildren. The Nebraska Signal May 25th, 1989 page 15. Contributor: M.
