Only one hour before there was no thought of death, yet sudden as it was she was ready to go and was resigned to her masters will, committing her newly born babe to the tender care of her sister, Mrs. Annie Jones of Madrid, who recently laid to rest her newly born baby boy. Deceased was born and raised in Boone county, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Jennings, and one of six girls and four boys, children of the family, of whom the four boys all died in infancy. When but twenty years old her mother died, and tender of years though she was, she gracefully assumed the care of the home and became a mother to her five younger sisters, Annie, Clara, Grace, Nellie and Blanche, until her father married again. She was converted in early life and joined the M.E. church at Mineral ridge, and remained a faithful member of the church militant until called to the church triumphant. February 13, 1903, she was united in marriage with Mr. Gust E. Lindmark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Lindmark of Dodge township. To them were born one son, Hershel, now four years old, and the newly born baby girl, whose face she never saw. The funeral services were held from the M.E. church in Mineral Ridge at 11:00 o'clock Sunday morning, conducted by the Rev. W.M. Leiser and attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends, burial in the Mineral Ridge cemetery. She leaves to mourn her death: her father and step mother, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Jennings, the five sisters mentioned above and a half sister, Beatrice, a loving husband and two children and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her sad and untimely death. Her going has saddened our hearts, but the fragrance of a sweet, beautiful life left behind, will better our lives, and her memory will ever be cherished until we all gather home to be with her forever.
