Manerva and Charles had eleven children: Elizabeth, James Henderson, William Clayton, Mary Lucinda, Polly Ann, Charles C., Levi A., Rachel M., Sarah Jane, Andrew Jackson, and Matilda. In a letter written by Charles Nelson Crouch, December 19, 1898, he states: "My Mother's Maiden name was Paterson - she was the daughter of James Paterson. James and Polly and William are dead at this date. My Wife Manerva Crouch is laid away to rest in landcaster county Neb 3 miles East of Hickman; Buried at...
