Description	:	Manfred (Leo) Leodolter, 64, of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, died March 2, 2011. Graveside services will be Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the East Union Mennonite Cemetery. Pastor Jay Miller will officiate. Manfred Leodolter was born in Murzzuschlag, Styria, Austria, the son of Stefan Stus and Margarete Leodolter. He was raised by his grandparents, Frederick and Maria Leodolter. July 5, 1973, he married Janice Zook in Vienna, Austria. He was raised by his grandparents, Frederick and Maria Leodolter. July 5, 1973, he married Janice Zook in Vienna, Austria. That fall he immigrated to the USA and they made their home in rural Iowa City. He became a citizen in 1979. Their son Frederick (Fritz) was born in 1982. Mr. Leodolter's work as an engineer in the food industry took the family to live in New Hampton, Iowa, Centralia, Illinois and Creston, Iowa. His last employment was as a consultant with Kraft Foods. At the time of his death he was retired and lived in Sauk Rapids. Mr. Leodolter enjoyed reading and watching nature and history programs, and trips back to Austria to visit his mother. He is survived by his son, Frederick Leodolter and grandson, Tegan Leodolter, Council Bluffs, Iowa; his mother-in-law, Marguerite Zook; a brother-in-law, Donald (Verna) Zook; a sister-in-law, Linda (Paul) Paine, and their children, LeAnne, Jennifer, Kathleen, and Kevin Zook; and Elizabeth Paine. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice in 2002; his parents; and father-in-law, Vernon Zook.
