J. Olson, 63, Larrabee, died Thursday at 4:40 p. m. as the result of a one-car accident on Highway 59 just south of here. He had been a resident of Larrabee for the past 12 years. Prior to that he lived in Cherokee. He was a World War I veteran and a member of Eagles Lodge. Survivors include: His wife Alice; five daughters and four sons. The daughters: Mrs. Irvin French, Duluth, Minn.; Mrs. Robert Gap, Estherville; Mrs. George Stoneking, Fremont, Neb.; Joan, at home; Eleanor, at home. The sons surviving: Philip, Churdan, Ia; Robert, Carl and Irvin, all at home. His mother, five brothers and three sisters are among the other survivors. They are: Mrs. Hulda Olson, Larrabee; brothers – Emil, Larrabee; Ervin, Meriden; Roy, Long Beach, Calif.; Ray, Cherokee; Vernon, Meriden. Three sisters – Mrs. Ben Holloway, Cherokee; Mrs. Charles Lockwood, Grand Meadow, Minn.; Mrs. Kern Jones, Cherokee. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Olson, in 1935. Funeral services were Saturday May 2 at 2 p. m. from Larrabee Methodist Church. The Rev. Warren A. Bintz who officiated. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee.
