FRAZEE Connellsville, PA, December 17 - Mansfield Elisha Frazee, 57 years old, of Poplar Grove, well-known in Connellsville Township and throughout Fayette County, died Monday night, December 14, 1936, at his residence after an illness which had its inception in the latter part of September. Mr. Frazee was widely known as a school teacher and also a lumber and coal operator, engaging in the latter businesses during the period of the war. Born July 6, 1878, on a farm near Selbysport, Maryland, he spent his boyhood days in the country. As young man he attended West Virginia University, and later graduated from California State Teachers' College, Pennsylvania, in 1889. In 1901 he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the Ohio Northern University at Adah, Ohio, and in 1902 engaged in his first teaching work at Ursina, Pennsylvania. From 1903 to 1906 he was principal of the South Connellsville Schools and in 1907 was principal at Vanderbilt. He was Secretary of the Connellsville Township School District for 13 years. During the war he left the teaching profession to engage in lumber and coal operating, but six years ago he re-entered the school work, becoming a teacher at the Casparis School; where he conducted classes for six years. Mr. Frazee was married on July 28, 1909, at Oakland, Maryland, to Miss Letitia Rush, who survives together with one daughter, Miss Mildred Frazee, at home. His father, Kimmel Frazee, died last January at the farm home near Selbysport. His mother still resides there. Other survivors are three brothers, Benjamin Henry Frazee of Sycamore Street, Martin V. Frazee and Orville Clayton Frazee, both of Selbysport, Maryland, and two sisters, Mrs. Hugh (Iva) Gallagher of Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. Bailey (Edna) Liston of Confluence, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of here, and a life member of King Solomon Lodge, No. 346, F. & A. M., a member of Royal Arch Chapter No. 283, of Connellsville; Lodge of Perfection at Uniontown; the Consistory and Syria Temple at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In politics, Mr. Frazee was an active Republican, taking much interest in Township affairs. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the residence with Reverend L. S. Elliott, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment will be in Blooming Rose Cemetery in Garrett County, Maryland, near Markleysburg, Pennsylvania.
