I remember Manual Jaquez as a guy that was always laughing about something. In fact I talked to him today and he said that he felt that as we get older we get uglier each day. I told him that I didn't think that I could ever get as ugly as him. He started laughing once again. He is just that kind of guy who always has to laugh. But that's just Manual. So we go back a few years to the time he came home to Florence, Colorado in the 1953 Ford Victoria 2 door hardtop. At that time he was married to Kattie Oliver from Florence, Colorado. They had a little girl named Glenda. I suppose they were coming from Fort Riley, Kansas because he was getting out of the US Army. Today he told me that he had been in the US AirForce before the US Army. He said he was stationed at Salina, Kansas when he was in the US Airforce. That was years before the his army days. Funny thing about this is I do remember him in a picture on my aunt TV in his US AirForce uniform.
