She was born March 10, 1927 near Denmark to August and Florence Miller Horn and married Melvin L. Watson August 5, 1944 in Stockport Christian Church. He died February 12, 1997. She graduated from Stockport HIgh School and lived most of her life in the Stockport and Hillsboro area. Surviving are four daughters, Linda Carter(Gene)of Hillsboro, Marcia Swartout(Roger) of Danville, IN, Susan Swartout(Karl)of Mooresville, IN and Deborah Jury(Kevin Denly)of Farmington, a son, Wayne Watson(Jan Ward)of Stockport, 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Arlene Kirk of Elk, WA and a brother, Donald Horn, of Escondido, CA. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a son Brad Watson, two sisters, Lois Johnson and Marian Boese and three brothers, Edward, Harlan and Jerry Horn. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday February 7, 2014 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, Pastor Jason Mott officiating. Visitation with family will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to the service. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery northeast of Stockport. Memorials to Spencer Cemetery or Hillsboro EMS.
